Exciting news, as Jaeden has been cast in another new project! He will be starring alongside the legendary Donald Sutherland in an adaption of Stephen King’s Mr. Hannigan’s Phone, a short story that was from the collection If It Bleeds.

Donald Sutherland and Jaeden Martell are set for the Blumhouse, Ryan Murphy, Netflix production Mr. Harrigan’s Phone, written and directed by John Lee Hancock, based on the short story by Stephen King.

Production begins this month with an eye on streaming 2022.

Mr. Harrigan’s Phone is from the latest collection of novellas If It Bleeds from Stephen King, about a young boy Craig, living in a small town, who befriends an older, reclusive billionaire Mr. Harrigan. The two form a bond over books and an iPhone, but when the man passes away, the boy discovers that not everything dead is gone, and finds himself able to communicate with his friend from the grave through the iPhone that was buried with him.

Sutherland will play Mr. Harrigan. Martell will play Craig.

If It Bleeds was a No. 1 New York Times bestseller.

Jason Blum is producing with Murphy and Carla Hacken. EPs are Blumhouse Television’s Chris McCumber and Jeremy Gold, and Scott Greenberg.

The Hollywood Reporter is exclusively confirming that Jaeden will be taking part in a reboot of The Lost Boys!

Warner Bros. has found The Lost Boys once again.

The studio is gearing up for a brand-new, reimagined take on the 1980s teen vampire classic.

Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place) and Jaeden Martell (It) will topline the feature project.

Rising scribe Randy McKinnon, who is already working on Warner Bros. and DC’s Static Shock project, will write the new Lost Boys, with Jonathan Entwistle on board to direct.

Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger will produce via their Automatik banner, which was behind the acclaimed indie Honey Boy (also starring Jupe) and also has sci-fi thriller Distant, from Amblin and Universal and starring Anthony Ramos, in the pipeline.

I spent all of yesterday updating the gallery with resized thumbnails and streamlining the albums a bit more. Additionally, I’ve added new captures from four of Jaeden’s missing movie roles!

Exciting news, everyone – Paramount has released Defending Jacob on home video! Though the series streamed in 4K on Apple TV+, it seems Paramount has only put out Blu-Ray and DVD releases for the time being.

9to5Mac reports:

The Apple original limited series ‘Defending Jacob’ starring Chris Evans, has been released on Blu-ray and DVD this week. This makes it the first Apple TV+ original title to get a physical media disc release.

Defending Jacob debuted on Apple’s streaming service in April 2020, more than a year ago. Released a month into worldwide lockdown, Defending Jacob is believed to have been a hit for Apple TV+ with audience demand rivalling the original set of launch shows.

The crime drama series stars Chris Evans, Michelle Dockery and Jaeden Martell. Andy Barber (Evans) must defend his son (Martell) in a murder trial and goes to great lengths to prove his innocence to the court. The story is based off a book of the same name. Apple signed the show’s screenwriter, Mark Bomback, for an exclusive TV development deal following Defending Jacob’s success.

Given that Apple TV+ has been out for almost two years at this point, it seemed fair to assume that Apple had maintained release exclusivity over its original TV shows and movies, requiring everyone wanting to watch to get an Apple TV+ subscription.

However, the physical media release of Defending Jacob by Paramount shows that this is not a strict hard-and-fast rule. Travel series Long Way Up is also promoting a disc release coming later in the year.

In general, you would expect that Apple would want to keep its content exclusive to its streaming service and nowhere else to encourage TV+ subscriptions. However, Apple has never confirmed the nature of platform exclusivity. It is likely that Apple’s production deals with its partners vary and it retains more rights to some projects than others.

In this case, evidently Paramount has retained the physical media rights for Defending Jacob in order for it to be made available on disc. It even includes previously unseen bonus content and special features. The disc does not appear to feature any Apple branding at all.

As promised a few weeks back, I was finally able to get captures from Jaeden’s performance in The True Adventures of Wolfboy – sourced from a 1080p presentation – sorted and added to the gallery! Check them out below.
